This is a photo of the wee little man I rescued from the animal shelter in Austin, Texas. How on earth could anyone give up a little sweetie like this?
Manny is about 4 years old and weighs 12 pounds. The shelter thought he was a Jackie Bichon, but I’m not sure about the Jack Russell part. He certainly can jump like a Jack Russell! Does anyone else know what he might be?
Our bichon is also very flexible that way (2nd Pic), she will lay on the ground with her hind legs like that, it sure looks uncomfortable to me.

thanks Debbie! I thought he was a happy accident, I’m glad to know that there are breeders out there because I don’t know how I would ever get such a great dog again. He is such a playful, sweet and energetic combination.

I just adopted a dog from our local animal control. He looks similar to your dog but mine has white ears w8ith long hair. They thought he was a poodle mix. We go to the vet soon so I will ask. 20 years ago I adopted another dog from animal control who looked similar and was told she was a full blooded bichon. My new doggie, who I named Logan is adorable also and sits and lies in that funny way sometimes. I really don’t care what he is…but he is sooo sweet and lovable. Like you…I can’t imagine anyone giving him up (he was an owner surrender).
Hi. I am pretty confident your puppy is a Jack/Bichon mixed. I have someone that has a poodle bichon and I have seen a few mixed and they look more poodle when combined. I can see the Jack in your puppy. Adorable. My Bichon sits just like him and at first, I thought she was peeing on the carpet. LOL. Too cute.
