I think that the women that brought the male dog ovewr to your home and allowed it to breed with your little bichon is liable for the vet bills. I would take her to small claims court if she does not agree to taking responsibilty for this problem that she allowed to happen. If the male dog is a larger dog or mix breed with a large breed mixed into his genes, there could be a serious problem for you bichon carring the puppies and delivering them. I hope that you Dad helps to work this situation out with you, he should be on your side. I ask God to help you and your bichon. Paulette

I want to share a reality story so that people who want to have puppies see both sides. My bichon, bambi had her puppies 4 days ago, she had 7 babies. The birth was a very gentle a short birth from begining to the end. Bambi performed perfectly and did all the instinctive things beautifully. The first three babies where perfect but for one thing, they where still born! She then continued on to the next three and they also where perfectly developed but very week since Bambi gave birth about 12-15 days too early. The three little ones where very tiny and had a hard time sucking for milk. They lived for only a couple of hours and then she had the last baby and this one obviously had died while in her uterus, it was so very tiny, half the size of the others, unfortunately this little one had been dead for awhile. So very very heart breaking to watch the mommy bichon suffer after i had to take the babies from her. She cried just like a baby for almost 5 days and nights. She even cried while I took her for a walk. Her sister just had her babies last night. Bambi lays with her little sister and helps care for the babies, her sister must understand that Bambi needs this, since she will not allow any of the other dogs to get near to her bed. If you where here, you would see two bichons in one bed sharing these little adorable babies. Nature has it's good and it's painful realities. But even though this was a heartbreaking experience, the litlle bichon sister, pinki has helped to heal some of Bambi's pain by allowing her sister to lay, clean and nurse her babies also. Just for a side note, I am making sure that these little ones drink more from their mommy than bambi, in order for them to get the colostrim that they need for protection. My email is nanapurdue@yahoo.com if you are interested in a baby bichon. They will be ready for their permanent home in the middle of March. thank you, paulette

To see this birth is to see the hand of the creator! He gives us such wonderful gifts, such as our dog companions. My bichon just gavwe birth last night, it is such a beautiful thing to see and be a part of the miracle of life. I enjoy my dogs so very much. They are so affectionate. Their love is unconditional, again the hand of our Lord at work. The bichon is a very charming and delightful dog. Please research information regarding this little dog. One thing is certain, they must be with you almost all the time! People who work and leave this type of dog alone for 8-10 hours a day should consider getting a pet bird instead! My baby puppies will be ready for their forever home around the middle of March. If intereated, feel free to email me and we can talk. Paulette and bambi, pinki, lulu, ponco and poppi. i am baby sitting two of the dogs for my daughter until she finds a new home.
